SaaS Sleuth is an independent editorial website available at https://saassleuth.com/. This policy explains what information may be collected when you use the site and how it is handled.
Information we collect
- Comments: If you leave a comment, WordPress collects the information entered in the form, along with your IP address and browser user-agent, to operate moderation and reduce spam. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to display a profile image.
- Newsletter: If you subscribe, we collect your email address and subscription status through Hostinger Reach. We use double opt-in, so you must confirm your address before receiving messages.
- Usage and device data: Google Analytics may collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source, and interactions with the site. Logged-in site administrators are excluded from Analytics tracking.
- Server and security data: Our hosting and security systems may process IP addresses, request logs, and technical information needed to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the site.
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the site, understand which content is useful, moderate comments, improve performance and navigation, comply with legal obligations, and respond to requests. If you subscribe, we also use your email address to send the newsletter and related editorial updates until you unsubscribe.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
The site may use necessary cookies for WordPress features and optional cookies or similar technologies for analytics and advertising. Google Site Kit connects the site to Google Analytics and, if approved and enabled, Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to measure usage, personalize or limit advertising, prevent fraud, and report performance. Where required, a consent message lets visitors accept, reject, or manage advertising choices. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

Service providers and data sharing
We use service providers only as needed to run and measure the site. These may include Hostinger for hosting and email marketing, Google for Analytics, Site Kit, Search Console, and AdSense, Automattic for Gravatar, and approved affiliate platforms or merchants. These providers process information under their own privacy terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a transfer of the site. We do not sell personal information for money.
Data retention
Comments and moderation records may be retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognized and abuse can be prevented. Newsletter subscription information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to records needed to honor suppression and legal requirements. Analytics and server-log retention is governed by our configured settings and the applicable service provider. We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of personal information, and to object to or opt out of certain processing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. You may also manage consent through the site’s consent message where available. To make a privacy request, email hello@saassleuth.com. Children’s privacy
This site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, they use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
